Typing
TypeTastic
Kids get to know the keyboard through playful games, from building a keyboard map to typing words on an island adventure.
TypeTastic builds typing practice out of hundreds of short, colorful games and drills. The youngest learners start by getting to know the keyboard itself, dragging keys into place in Keyboard Builder and playing letter games with names like Cupcake Bugs, Frog Pond Patrol, Ducky Trouble, Astro Bubbles and Letter Trucks. Older kids head off on an island adventure, gathering letters and words across different landscapes, with drills that grow from single words to sentences and longer paragraphs. An on-screen keyboard shows which finger to use, feedback appears instantly, and a review feature seems to bring back keys that need more work. Timed tests track speed over time. The range is wide, from kindergarten to high school, so a family might find something for more than one child here.
