Nessy Fingers Touch Typing
Kids learn touch typing by typing real words, building their spelling along the way.
Nessy Fingers pairs touch typing with spelling. Rather than nonsense strings, kids type real words from the first lesson, with keys introduced in alphabetical order and word lists that grow harder as skills build. The maker mentions more than 3,000 words and sentences, and there is room to add a child’s weekly spelling list from school so it can be practiced while typing. Fifteen typing games are said to adjust to each child’s level, and virtual trophies mark milestones. Printable worksheets carry some practice away from the screen. It looks aimed at complete beginners and at kids who already know their way around a keyboard and want more speed alike, and the word-based approach may especially suit children who like their practice to mean something.
