Disclosures
Anyone can list a product on bored.kids, and moderators decide what to feature. If a listing earns us money or is connected to us, it says so.
How listings get here
Anyone can list a product: parents, teachers, makers and anyone else. Moderators look over each one and decide, at their discretion, what to publish and which listings to feature, highlight or put first. Listing details come from each provider’s own website and app-store pages, and they change as people send updates and corrections.
Listings without a label
A listing without a label has no payment, commission or connection to us behind it.
Ads
The site may show ads. Ads are always marked as ads, kept apart from listings, and never shown as a listing or a review.
Affiliate links
Some links may be affiliate links. If you sign up or buy through one, the provider or an affiliate network may pay us a commission. These listings say “Affiliate link” right under the button that takes you to the provider, and guides that include them say so at the top.
Our own products, and related ones
Some products may be made by the company that runs bored.kids. They carry an “Our product” tag. Others may be made by companies or people connected to us, for example through shared ownership, investment or a paid partnership, or a maker may pay to have a listing featured. They carry a “Related to us” tag, and their page says so.
What these relationships mean
Commissions and connections can influence what gets listed, featured and put first. That’s why we label them. The age guidance, descriptions and other facts on each listing come from the provider and app stores either way.
Reviews by visitors
Reviews and ratings written by visitors are their own views, not ours, and we don’t publish every one we receive. Reviewers must say if they are connected to a product or got anything for reviewing it. If we ever offer anything in exchange for reviews, those reviews will be labelled.
Votes
Vote counts include votes cast on the site and votes sent to us in other ways, such as by email. We may correct them, for example to remove duplicates or abuse, but we never add votes that nobody cast.
Questions
If a label looks wrong or missing, tell us through the contact form. See also our terms of service.
