Reading
Starfall
Starfall offers a sequence of clickable reading activities that move from letter sounds to short words and connected stories.
The reading route on Starfall’s site runs through four named stages: ABCs, Learn to Read, It’s Fun to Read and I’m Reading. Within them, a child might practice a vowel pattern, hear a word spoken, then use that pattern in a small reading task. Later sections bring in poetry, music, fiction and nonfiction. Since the order is set out in advance, a parent can go straight to a single activity instead of browsing a large mixed collection.
