Duolingo ABC
Duolingo ABC is an early-reading app for learning to read and write in English.
It is a separate app from the main Duolingo language course. Short activities move through the alphabet, phonics, sight words and vocabulary, then into short stories. Cartoon characters lead the way, and the look is pitched at younger children.

Who it suits
Duolingo lists it for ages 3–8. At the young end of that range, a child may need help working out what an activity is asking.

A session can be as short as one activity, which leaves room for a paper book or a spoken word game afterward.
