Times Tables Rock Stars
Kids answer rapid times tables and division questions, earning coins to dress up a rock star avatar.
Times Tables Rock Stars dresses up multiplication and division practice as a music career. Questions come quickly, and the maker says they adapt to whichever facts a child finds tricky. Answering speed feeds a rock status that climbs from New Artist toward Rock Hero, and coins from each round go toward outfits, hairstyles and instruments for a customizable avatar. Garage rounds zero in on the tables a child is currently working on, Jamming drops the timer for a calmer pace, and live multiplayer games let kids race classmates or relatives. Sessions look designed to be brief, a few minutes at a stretch. The program seems common in UK schools, so some children may arrive already knowing their Rock Name, and kids who dislike being timed might lean toward Jamming.
