Osmo Genius Starter Kit
Kids move real tangram pieces, number tiles and letter tiles in front of a tablet, and the games react to what they build.
Osmo Genius Starter Kit blends real pieces on the table with games on an iPad or Fire tablet. The tablet stands in a small base, and a red reflector clips over the camera so the games can see what happens in front of the screen. In Tangram, kids arrange seven pieces to match a silhouette. In Numbers, they lay down number tiles to pop bubbles and solve sums, and in Words they spell answers with letter tiles. Newton has them draw lines on paper to bounce falling balls into targets, and Masterpiece walks them through tracing and drawing a picture. The maker says the games adjust their level as a child grows. Kids who like to handle things while they think seem especially well served by the setup.
