Math Antics

Kids watch short animated lessons that walk through one math idea at a time, with printable practice sheets alongside.

Math Antics is a library of short animated videos, each one devoted to a single math idea. A presenter talks through the topic on a digital whiteboard, slipping in the occasional joke, and the steps seem paced so a child can follow along with a pencil. The topic list runs from counting and place value through long division, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, geometry, measurement, statistics, integers and exponents, ending at the first steps of algebra. Lessons are arranged in teaching order, which makes it easy to jump in at whatever tonight’s homework covers and keep going from there. Many videos have a printable worksheet attached. It looks handy as a refresher before a test, or for a kid who wants a second explanation; children who prefer hands-on games may find the format a little quiet.
