CBeebies Playtime Island

Kids join Andy on a dinosaur adventure and pick from dozens of games starring CBeebies characters.

CBeebies Playtime Island is the BBC’s large games app for preschoolers, built around an island to explore. Kids set off on a dinosaur adventure with Andy and then wander between more than 40 games, each one based on a CBeebies show, with short subtitled videos tucked in as well. Favorite games can be dropped into a personal My Games treasure chest. According to the App Store, a download manager lets grown-ups keep chosen games on the device for offline play, which could come in handy on long journeys. Families who watch the channel will likely recognize most of the faces. Children who have not met the shows may still enjoy the island itself, where picking the next game looks like half the fun.
