Math
Alcumus
Kids tackle adaptive challenge problems from Art of Problem Solving, unlocking achievements as they climb.
Alcumus is the online practice tool from Art of Problem Solving, the group behind Beast Academy and a shelf of well-known math competition books. Students pick a topic and work through problems that seem to adjust as they go, stepping up after a streak of correct answers and easing back after a miss. The problems are the thoughtful, multi-step sort that reward reasoning over memorized routines, and a full written solution follows each one. Topics track the AoPS curriculum, from prealgebra and algebra through counting and probability, number theory and geometry, so a kid hungry for challenge can keep going well past grade level. Progress bars and achievements mark the way. It seems aimed squarely at strong, motivated students; kids after basic fact practice may find it steep.
